Application Letter, Spanish Teacher

Tags: , , , , ,

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to offer myself as a Spanish teacher. I have worked for a long time as an English and Spanish teacher, with children and adults. I have organized classroom and open-air activities. When working as group leader or tour escort in foreign countries I had to deal with really large number of teenagers. They were under my supervision plus my position implied teaching them and organising all kind of activities.

As you can see on my CV I have a title in teaching English at high school (Course in Pedagogical Aptitude) and another one in “Teaching Spanish as a Second Language”, and consider that the first two years of my degree are also in Spanish grammar and literature. I am fluent on written and spoken English (one year at the National University of Ireland), plus my degree is on “English Linguistics and Literature”.

I really enjoy teaching, and I think learning a foreign language can be something entertaining and interesting, and that is what I try to get in my classes. I consider myself as an enthusiastic, hard worker and creative person. I have and adventurous spirit and love to meet new people and learn a lot from them. Please feel free to contact me for further information about myself. Thank you very much for your time. I look forward your reply.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to you to express my interest for the position of Spanish teacher for adults within your company.

In March 2007, I passed the ‘International House Certificate Course in the Teaching of Spanish to Adults’. During the course I proved my hard-work, professionalism, and creativity, specially designing exercises and activities.

Since this time I have continued to develop my teaching by successfully running private Spanish lessons for six clients and attending a number of education seminars in the Instituto Cervantes, all related with education techniques and how to introduce them into the classroom.

You will also see from my CV that as an advertising executive in the different companies in which I have worked, I learnt how to work successfully under pressure and gained skills in team work and communication.

I believe I have the skills to succeed in this job and would love the opportunity to discuss my CV with you further.

Yours sincerely,

Lucía Surname
